Synopsis
Scientists believed it had been extinct for 30 years, but one day, the starry night harlequin frog reappeared in the heart of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in Colombia. Why and how was it able to return? Had it simply enjoyed the privilege of splashing about far from the modern world? Is its DNA different? Are its immune defenses stronger?
Scientists think the starry night frog may hold a secret—the one that could save the other frogs on the planet, victims of a global epidemic.
