Written and directed by Guillaume Terver
In Malandry, a small village in the Ardennes, eighty residents have been living for nearly a year with water contaminated by "forever chemicals." Led by their mayor, Annick Dufils, recently re-elected for a third term, they are fighting a twofold battle: to regain access to safe drinking water and to refuse being treated as expendable. Their struggle, told in the style of a modern fable, reminds us that Malandry is not an isolated case but a glimpse of what lies ahead. It also raises a broader question: how does a community endure when both its water supply and its trust in public institutions have been poisoned?
