Written and directed by Sophie Desgeorge
In the early 1970s, the Rhine plain became the stage for environmental defense battles. In Marckolsheim, Wyhl, and Kaiseraugst, the local population occupied land to oppose a massive industrialization project that planned the construction of dozens of nuclear power plants and chemical factories on both sides of the Rhine.
Fifty years later, the participants from that time reconstruct the story of this unique adventure: the birth of the environmental movement in France.
