Written and directed by Daniel Cling
Adélaïde Hautval is a free woman, a resistant at heart who dedicated her life to serving others while refusing any compromise. Born in 1906 in Alsace, she became a psychiatrist and was deported to Auschwitz during World War II as a "friend of the Jews." Upon returning to France, she defended the values of humanity that she placed above all else. Her commitment earned her the distinction of being the first Alsatian recognized as "Righteous Among the Nations", the highest honor from the State of Israel. Through the places of her extraordinary journey, her writings, and some deeply moving testimonies, the film immerses us in the heroic life of this remarkable woman.
