Sabine Zlatin or the impossible forgetfulness

Written and directed by Daniel Cling

Synopsis

Through her determination, Sabine Zlatin helped bring the story of the Izieu children's roundup of April 1944 to light and integrate it into our national history. From the anti-Semitic Poland of the early 20th century to 1990s France, including the German occupation and Vichy collaboration, "Sabine Zlatin or the impossible forgetfulness" immerses us in the story of a multifaceted woman.
Refusing to mourn and demanding justice, she maintained the memory of the 44 children and 7 adults deported throughout her life. Thanks to her, the Maison d’Izieu is now a memorial museum.
